going up there blind wouldn't have been a good idea. rafters replaced, decking cut and the sheathing underneath has been cut. need an extra pair of hands to hold the plywood in place while i nail it. but yeah, this isn't too bad.
It's not to bad. I always forget how to cut the eave caps out of shingles take me a few times to get the angles right again when I start.

Trying to explain to someone that Wifi Channels and interference is an issue still today, while he refuses to believe and says that's not an issue with G very much and not at all with N. It was apparently mainly an issue with B... FAIL!
My guitar wireless kills all the wifi in the house when I use it. Of course, it has to be 2.4GHz. What a nuisance.
Time to move the house to 5Ghz.

What makes it Faux IRC? What protocol does it use?
-
Oh, it is using Skype to act like IRC?

Exactly. Using a Skype group chat in place of an IRC.
-
OK I'm guessing that IRC was first and all - but aren't they all pretty much the same if you're only 'text chatting' these days? If so, is it correct to say Faux IRC?

It's not IRC, but it's being used in the same way as IRC is, thus the faux.
-
So every other text chat client would be a faux IRC as well? uh ok.

No, it's not that it's a text client. It's that it's being used a group chat for real-time consolidation. Me messaging someone or a couple other people doesn't mean it's IRC-esque. However, this is 12-15 people with an always on group. That's what makes it IRC.
-
I guess the nuance is lost on me as I've only rarely used IRC.

IRC is a chat room protocol.
XMPP is an instant messaging protocol.
Similar but different.
