@scottalanmiller Noooo! Still havent seen an episode of this show. If it has zombies as the main thing, i avoid it. Games, movies, tv shows. Thought i was the only one, looks like i might be now.
Telltale got me hooked. TWD video game was SO good. So far the show isn't on par at all. But it seems okay.
It gets worse/boring quick.
That's too bad. The game is amazing. -
Watching Jurassic Park 4 with the kids.

I saw it at the drive in last year. It's not bad. Way better than 2 & 3. More action than the first. Less drama.

Drinking coffee, trying to get my barrings, got a call at 4:30 in the morning for support for a client.
Wasn't up long as the issue was easily resolved, but my schedule is messed up.

Didn't have power for 7 hours last night, didn't come back on until I needed to get up for work... whole town was out. We heard a chainsaw going at ~3 this morning so we assume a tree fell on the lines. We didn't sleep much between the lack of white noise and the heat.
-
Good morning everyone.

Man that sucks. I have a CPAP so for me that would have been a whole night sitting up in the dark.

That's pretty much what it was. Emilia is used to white noise so without it she kept startling herself awake. Normally she wakes up at ~3AM and goes immediately back to bed after a feeding. Last night she was up ~every 10 minutes.

WIth my boys, battery powered radio on static got us through some overnight power outages. Being an Amateur Radio nut, it was easy to just set one of my ham radios to an unused frequency and I have enough batteries to go all night.

That's a good idea. Need to find a radio though.

@coliver Garage Sales! Usually can find an old radio
-
and much cheaper than the $20 or $30 the baby stores want for their white noise makers. We got one at our shower and I think it lasted maybe 3 or 4 months then died. Looked a replacement, said forget it and put a clock radio tuned to static in my older ones room at the time. For the younger one didn't even bother with a white noise maker and just did a radio from the get go.

My Dad has my Grampa's old ham radio with a built in amp of questionable legality, lol. Dang thing dims the lights in the neighbor's house... and I used to be able to hear grampa over our TV set half a mile away when I was a kid, lol.
-
That is one hell of an amp. LOL

Insurance company said that it takes forever to get a police report from New Jersey. Nothing has been posted yet but I'm going to try to get it myself to expedite the process. Very sad today.

Yes, quite. It was the old tube style, I think. I know the ham radio is. Pops even was able to grab Gramp's call sign since he was a family member. Gramps did a lot of stuff with the military on it. I'll never forget watching him do that... You could walk into his radio room and hold up a florescent light and it would come on every time he keyed the mic, lol.

I can't even safely attempt falling asleep.
