I meant the modem side. I use a Motorola Surfboard instead of the BS from comcrap. I didn't realize that fiber was just an ethernet handoff, that negates my question kinda. I have all the firewall/router stuff to connect to the handoff.
But that isn't always true.
Are you just getting Internet? Then it might be true.
Just internet, no TV. I'm a cordcutter... Kodi is my best friend.
Hehe. Still running Kodi on a Pi2 here. My dad got a setup where we deployed 2 kodis on Pi2's as frontends with a shared database on a DIY NAS. Works great. I'm currently looking for a more powerful board with at least 1GBit/s ethernet and maybe USB 3. The Pi is a bit weak here, because ethernet is connected via USB 2.0.
I was running it on an Amazon Fire Stick (which worked great btw), but certain add-ons wouldn't work right, so now it runs on a Win 8.1 Alienware box (my main media center PC).

What I like about the little ARM boards is the power consumption: Next to none.

REALLY important stat from the show.... 80% of US jobs will never be advertised.

Trying to think why my EdgeRouter can't talk to a VLAN over a VPN link.
Think it's VLAN Tagging etc but from home hard to see might have a play when back in work tomorrow.

Then you can probably just get an ethernet drop like we have here at work.
They'll run it into a box in your house, and then the ethernet from there.
I started with internet only and it was still run with coax into the house. It was not a ethernet drop off.
At work it is, don't know why there is a difference.
Maybe bussiness vs home?

Pshh the more important stat is that 70% of a cats life they aren't even awake for. Or that only 59% of college student graduate in 6 years or less... not sure what type of degree that is for though.

Wait... it takes 41% of people more then 6 years to get a bachelours? I wonder how that works... are these people part time students?

Yes, it does. Nearly everyone that I know took over six years to graduate. So I'm not at all surprised. When I went to college they didn't even offer classes fast enough that five years was a minimum if you went full time, year round and got a 4.0. So average was like seven years for my first school.

How much I love that most cables here are underground...
