One thing that I've decided to do, is to just start reporting the mods directly for being rude and unfriendly and reporting them for hijacking threads. Anytime they want to shut down or punish a vendor they just claim anything they don't like is a hiajck which guarantees that the thread will have to be a discussion about thread hijacking so they can all but guarantee that they can kill off any vendor that they want to punish for getting too much attention. So I'm just moving to a mute and report strategy.

Man, he posted that nonsense and it killed their posting. Went to zero after that. It's amazing how effective a meta hijack attack is at squashing activity. It makes everyone feel uncomfortable posting after that.

If it isn't here: https://community.spiceworks.com/people/kelly/subscribed I don't see it.

I went and deleted all of my posts in the thread. I'm over it, whatever.

Hey nice, someone else looked into what was posted and nuked the post from the mod that tried to do the meta hijack maneuver. Good to see.
-
@scottalanmiller Some mods can be overly protective of threads...

This wasn't protective, this was him trying to hide an attack on it. Don't know why he was trying to shit it downbut it's a very standard attack vector - derail a thread by forcing a meta conversation about hijacking. It's one of the most powerful tools to shut down organic discussion.

@scottalanmiller Oh no I meant, that they think is theirs basically...

Woke up wondering why my alarm was going off on the weekend because clearly it was Sunday morning. Stupid phone.
...
25 minutes later
...
Hang on, it's not the weekend. I have to go to work
...
15 minutes later
...
Oh, yeah. It's Wednesday.
Spoon & jar morning might turn into spoon & jar day -

What is this running on?
Arrary on a MD1000 attached to a R720 for backups. Veeam backups.
Repository for 2 primary Esxi nodes and veeam replicating the vm's to another cluster for DR.
They are not using all of ESXi to the potential and they don't have the work loads to support ESXi.
Found out today HA was on, but not working properly. Fixed that.
Not using DRS.
Not using Resource Pools.
Lots of drive issues today.
Working with them to get them on HyperV.
Two nodes with a SAN setup....Don't go there, I know.... -

Joys you find at clients working for an MSP. If I would have been involved I would have had some choice words.

No reason to not still have them. I mean,.. I see things (not recently related to work) and I save more than just a few choice words..

My favorite feature is the ability to build a network map after you get all the devices in.

Zabbix is on the agenda for my things to take over. The server is running,.. I just have to get the clients connected... no idea how to do.

It's pretty easy. I've got it setup here. You can either deploy it via Group Policies (if you're doing Windows) or via salt or ansible for Linux.
