Yes, which the instructions were for as well.

I know, but segmentation faults have been know on linux regarding loading and installing modukes.

Sage isn't the most fun to deal with that's for sure. Which of their products are you working with and what's the issue?
The overall product is Sage 50 Quantum US Edition. The piece that's broken is the Sage Payroll Sync Wizard. It always asked to be updated regardless of the installed version. 50% of the time it will reinstall itself. 50% of the time that installation fails.
