Drinking at Captain Katanna's in Melbourne FL. @IRJ if you're on Merritt island, stop by and have a drink with us!
When you coming back? Macon is about 45 minutes out for me, depending on where you're heading.
Shit, just saw this a couple of hours ago. The weather across S Ga was crazy today, we were totally tunnel vision focused on getting home safe. Hope you're up on some high ground, the flooding is real.
Yikes! We saw a bit of rain over the last few days, no flooding or anything like that in our area. (About an hour southeast of Macon). I don't blame you for tunnel vision for getting home safely at all.
Weather around here changes about as fast as my kiddo flips a light switch.

That's always a big help!

Just fixed the Company LED Christmas tree, someone was so kind to rip the cable in-half from the plug that fed the top half of the tree. So I had to make a small extension cable and wire it back together.
And got a user workstation backup and running. No video signal.
Time for Coffee.
-
fixing server that hung on updates; why server 2016 has update problems I have no idea
-
Morning everyone. Just updated our 2 powerbi users
-
user gah!
Was asked to check her login over the weekend, didn't. Now can't login. Doesn't answer phone, and can't get to her email. We're trying everything to help you here, we can't magically make it better without being able to contact you. -
Morning everyone.

Anyone have experience with external weather proof boxes?
We already have one on the wall.
https://www.directtradesupplies.co.uk/product.php/182339/gewiss-insulated-ip56-enclosure-junction-box--grey--190x140x70
(well a bigger version)How do you mount a switch to them? Just pop a screw in the back and "hook" the switch on with the holes in the back?
Or is there a "proper" way of doing it?
-
@hobbit666 Those rails in back of the weatherproof box should hold screws. Just line the screws up right, and slide the switch on like normal.
-
@hobbit666 Your don't drill or put screws through your waterproof boxes.
It should have a grommet and or a seal that you can feed your cables through. As for "mounting" it I would just lay it in the box.
Once the box is affixed to a wall it shouldn't be moving around and then there should be no concern of damage to the equipment inside of the box.
(if the equipment is damaged, you likely have other damage to deal with surrounding the box).

Problem is, someone's placed a DVR for CCTV in and it fills the box. So when you remove the lid like someone did to plug in the mouse/keyboard to change settings. It fell out and broke the HDMI cable lol.
Just wondered if/how to "mount" the equipment correctly
