On the phone with Zoho Support who have told me that if you bundle their services, you lose support. WTF. Complete fail. I'm a pretty big Zoho fan but this is INSANE.
WHAT?? Did you bundle them with a different company? If so, then like MS when you buy an OEM - the OEM is who has to provide support, that could make sense... but if bundling only with their own stuff.. nope, makes no sense.

@scottalanmiller HUH?? What do you/they mean by bundle? Using ZohoOne? Or I assume you already have ZohoOne and you mean using different parts of Zoho apps to talk to other parts of Zoho apps?
No, we have other bundles and some things break and when they do, there isn't a support team that handles the overarching integration, only the individual products. Which leaves them scrambling with "you need to contact someone else."
To their credit, once I pushed the point, WorkPlace stayed on the team with Connect and me until they resolved their compatibility issues (by breaking the integration, which is perfect.)

No, their internal bundles. but the individual Zoho teams are pretty siloed so act a little like their own companies.

That’s just weird. They…wow… a company like them with siloed areas… sounds like some terrible internal politics.

Yeah, I definitely saw some issues going on. But to their credit, they immediately reached out, got the other siloed team involved, and fixed the issue. So siloed... bad. But siloes working together for the customer... good.

@scottalanmiller good to hear that it worked out in the end.

Coffee now and editing videos. Gotta pack and travel today, going to Esteli to do some filming tomorrow. Looking forward to that. Gotta book a hotel today, too.

I'm back after a weekend in the mountains and traveling all day yesterday. Had to go collect a cell phone from an old employee who "accidentally" took a company phone with her when she left. Then took a hammer and the sidewalk to it before giving it back to us. Ugh.

Uhm,.
What now?Sadly there is always the risk of not getting something back. There being some kind of disagreement- anger.
But this is,.. unprofessional and completely uncalled for. Sigh.

Yesterday afternoon I was assaulted by a small team of rogue fire ants. They got in my shoe (sandal) and started biting, not sure how many times, but my left foot looks like a balloon. Definitely makes it hard to walk, and I'm supposed to be flying to Chicago in the morning.

Oh damn, fire ants suck so much. I'm so glad to be away from the land of aggressive insects! Those hurt like a beyotch!

hello. dropping back in to say hello.
been really busy, then went away on hols for 8 weeks.nice weather today, looks like we'll be having some sunshine for the next 3-4 days which is welcome.
I'm not getting board emails, dunno why?
-
I was wondering where you’d gotten to @siringo .
Good to hear you got a holiday.
Did you get up through QLD/NT?I gather the busy before the holiday was stacked full of prep and interruptions of needing to work
-
@nadnerB yep, lots of prep stuff before we left.
finally did that trip we were going to do in 2020 in your state of WA. best trip we've ever done. loved every day of it.
did the canning stock route.
took us 21 days to complete the 1800kms. 100 kms in a day was good going.
