Why would someone have a pastebin like this?
https://pastebin.com/DNpQydtHAnyone actually tried one of those? I'd imagine it's just a war of the nefarious software at this point.

Wait, I've posted some YT vid where someone prays: "Thou shall not use RAID-5 on spindles. Use RAID-6 instead! You'll see a huge performance boost!" without @scottalanmiller instantly raging? SAM, are you ok?

I'm pissed about the entitled MS licensing whining going on, moreso.

Found this on the interwebz
"I have to go to a client's site twice a week, and due to poor connectivity to WiFi in the server room I want to bring in a portable AP so that I can connect to their network. They are too cheap to purchase another AP so this is my only option"
Why can't you simply take the same patch panel cable you'd connect to this "portable" AP, and plug this directly into your laptop?!

Trying to find a good place to put this, I felt as though "I can't even" seemed appropriate.
Salesman wants to talk VOIP so I entertained him. Local company, nice guy, I'll hear you out. Just brought by this proposal with a straight look on his face.
For context, we currently only use about 2500 minutes per month. Who actually buys this stuff?!
-
@zachary715 this is really what people buy!

A lot of people buy it that way because they donβt know how cheap VoiP is outside the retail of it.

What is a hazmat phone and why are they more expensive. . . do they come with the Black Plague preinstalled?

These are "Explosion Proof" phones rated for use in our chemical plant. The funny thing about that is they wouldn't even be supplying new phones for this, they would just supply the converters to go from SIP to analog, yet still want $10/mo for it. Oh, and a 5yr contract. :exploding_head:
-
@zachary715 That's still like 500% cheaper than what we got sucked into 5+ years ago (10 year contract)! If I had been working here that long ago, I'd definitely had gone with yealink/voip.ms/freepbx/vultr for WAYYYY less.

People can't keep from clicking on shtuff. Just want to hit them over with the clue by 4.
