Think I've got smart phone thumb.
Since I've been walking and commuting on trains for a while I've found myself using my phone more to browse the web and sort emails.
Most done holding the phone in one hand and using my thumb to type and scrollSo your thumb hurts and tries to scroll the web page when you are looking at a big screen?

This is hilarious

What happened to Halley's Comet? I missed that one. Did it get hit by something else somewhere else?

Nothing. Halley's comet will return in 2061 July-ish.
-
@jaredbusch Then did that part just break off from the rest of the comet?

I've never heard that name before, but there is a yearly meteor shower as we pass through the orbit of Halley's.
The Eta Aquarid meteor shower is expected to peak on May 6, 2018. The Eta Aquarids is one of two meteor showers created by debris from Halley's Comet.

Columbia disaster happened 15 years ago today.

According to Space.com, these showers are just space debris that annually returns to earth while Haley returns every ~75 years.

The debris is following along the orbit of Halley's it is basically detritus from Halley's over the centuries. Earth passes through the orbital plane.
Nothing is returning to earth. That so not how space works.

So basically its like walking through the exhaust of a car that has already passed.

Mark Twain aka Samuel Clemens was born in a Haley Comet year 1835 and died 76 years later in a Haley comet year. Which he predicted he would do.

Yeah, I make a lot of predictions too hoping that one will come true and I'll be quoted
