Metamoprhabet looks fun for the kiddo. I'll let him try it out and tell me what he thinks.

Just got the SteamLink set up and working for the kids. So the Steam machine can be in one part of the house and the kids have the Steam Link in their bedroom. We are on wired Ethernet so this works great.

@scottalanmiller I need to look into this. Do you have to use a steam controller? How does that work? I typically use the Xbone dongle and controller on PC if I'm not using my mouse and keyboard.

You can attach things with USB. But we have four Steam controllers already. It has several USB ports and a Bluetooth option so you have ways to connect other controllers.

Currently ranked 260 in the Phantom Castle area of Ultimate Ninja Blazing.

@scottalanmiller Good choice on Never Alone! The co-op was fun and collecting the short films was a nice touch. I think the girls will love that one.

The kids had requested that one.

I need to try out one of those steam controllers when I come over. It's something I've wanted to try out for awhile. I've heard that there is a huge curve to getting used to them, but once you do it's the only way to play. I assume you like them since you own four?

We like them a lot. They let you do a lot of gaming stuff that other controllers do not. Definitely a learning curve, though.

@scottalanmiller this is the article that got me thinking about one. I've just never pulled the trigger.

It has to be pretty different because it emulated the mouse and keyboard controllers, not just a keyboard. The haptic feedback is really impressive.

I think I'd really grow to love it for FPS games. One of the reasons I hardly play them is because my desk space is cramped and not at all adequate for competitive FPS. Using a regular controller just ends up getting me getting destroyed so it's not even fun at that point.

It's still not a full mouse, but it can be pretty good. We use it for a lot of adventure games that can't be played any other way.
