XenServer - SSMTP - Define Account

Plus wouldn't using what's already built into XS be better than having to customize the installation?

Why do you need a user account? Have you tested the mail command?
Great point. Have you tried sending yourself an email from the command line yet?
echo "Test Email" | mail -s 'test' [email protected]

Mail isn't found.
I could install it.
yum install -y mailx
Edit: actually mailx and mail aren't found as available for installation...
-
Of course I have to enable the repo under
/etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo
enabled=1 -
Does this article help at all?

Somewhat but it has something to do with the SMTP settings...
I can successfully connect with SSL on port 587
but can't open smtp.office365.com
