Kinda Wish I Was in Austin...

I have written about hiring practices that when you interview with a company you have only one true, no way to fake it look at the company and that is the hiring process itself. Does that process work well? Does it operate smoothly? Does it encourage the right kind of people to work there?
Google fails with me based on their interview process. Just like I don't put my college degrees on my resume so that companies that require those don't contact me and save us both the trouble of me turning them down later, I don't interview with anyone that hides who they are. That means that they are embarrassed. If they were a good place to work, they would want people to know to attract the best and the brightest. You only have to hide when things are bad (or illegal.) I doubt that they are illegal, but I have no doubt that they are bad. I'm sure that there are good parts, but we will never know for certain. All we know is that something is horrible wrong, so wrong that they will turn down a massive pool of top talent over needing to keep not only the interview process but everything about the company culture a secret.

I think it's worth your time to contact them and see if they might do the interview via Skype.

What is CBS reading?
And to answer your question, I don't know. I'm waiting to hear back from SW.

Are those good steps or bad steps?

I would think any step that's not "I'm sorry but you're not the candidate for us" would be a good one.

Yeah, exactly. She's going to check to see who she needs to to talk to so she can find out who I need to talk to.
