I found a simple tweak that resolved it months ago.. but the upgrade to 57 broke it again apparently.

Yeah, but you shouln't have to edit a config file in order to use your web browser.

Yeah, but you shouln't have to edit a config file in order to use your web browser.

It is a known issue with Firefox and dark GTK themes on Linux.
A 17 year old bug report in fact.

You can teak a setting manaully.

Or use an add on.

During the quest Diplomatic Immunity, a Thalmor Dossier on him can be found revealing that he was captured and interrogated by the Aldmeri Dominion as a prisoner of war during the Great War. The Thalmor currently consider him a "dormant asset", albeit "uncooperative", as they need the Civil War to remain in a stalemate.
