What Are You Doing Right Now

Watching "Son of Big Foot" with the middle child.
First my train was cancelled for the 3rd day in a row so took a day off.
Then had to take the middle child to the Docs as she has some spots and a sore throat. Then had a call that a site is having connection issues.
Oh and bathed the dog
All this before 11am ............. now rest.

Looking at Sharepoint tutorials to see if I could make use of it with my LLC, since I have a one-license subscription to Office 365 Business Premium.
Honestly is a much bigger hastle than its worth. Unless you're putting in manyhundreds of man hours if find a better solution.
That's what I'm seeing. Right now I share OneNote notebooks from OneDrive with students. Trying to do the same kind of thing through Sharepoint doesn't seem like it's worth the effort.
Plus, I have other learning objectives on my plate (RHCSA study), I ought to stay focused.
Ugh, we use OneNote at NTG, it's made me detest MS Office. The drive to OneNote has made me want to ban SharePoint, OneNote, and MS Office entirely. Between OneNote and Exchange I've become convinced that no one using Microsoft Office products does any work.
what points about onenote do you dislike?

Mostly around things being extremely slow, very difficult to organize, cannot link to needed data for sending to other people which makes organization and searching all but impossible, etc. It's just heavy and cumbersome. It encourages way too much media so becomes a crap dumping ground instead of having people put in clean and useful data. And little things like its table formats are just awful.

well i guess it depends on the data you want to put in there. i don't have any of those issues but i just use it for notes and documentation and i am happy with it. it is for notes and documentation. it sounds like note taking software isn't what you need. to me it sounds like you just need to organize a wordpress site for something like that.
what kind of data are you trying to put in there?

IT and customer documentation. OneNote wouldn't be too bad for one user. But for sharing with others, it is really messy.

ok that makes sense. sounds like you just need a custom wordpress site where you use categories for each customer. then you could link to a particular customer or to a certain record of that customer via a post.

Apparently our users have too yesterday and today both. 80 something tickets in two days... Fortunately, most of them are easy to handle... and we have 3 of us working on them.

I was hoping the community would help write the rest of it. It's a good setup, we just need a punchline.
