Well that's not good....
Regarding the following subscriptions: xxxxxx.x.x.x.x.x.x in New Jersey Hello, Our engineering team is continuing to investigate a node failure that is affecting the listed instance. We have attempted extensive recovery efforts to restore your cloud server to normal operations and have determined additional time and resources will be required with no certainty of a positive outcome. You may deploy a backup or snapshot on a new instance to restore service. If you have any questions, please contact our support team at https://my.vultr.com/support/ Regards, Vultr Support Team

In other words, its broke and we don't know how to fix it. Its best if you just restore from backups.

Yep, restored to a new instance within 45 min. All good now. I got a follow up email from them saying, the data is most likely gone.

Installing NC again... A few months ago we were discussing the /data as being on a separate disk for best practices. I have successfully used the fstab file to map the /data to the default NC location in the past. Is there only 1 way to do this or is a certain way better than others?
There are a whole lot of options, but if you have to ask, stick with the defaults.
/dev/device /var/lib/html/nextcloud/data xfs defaults 0 0
or
/dev/device /var/lib/html/nextcloud/data ext4 defaults 1 1
