Interesting. Does this happen with any VM you're attempting to install? As in other ISOs etc?

Maybe a known bug?

Yes it does, once the ISO loads up on the screen, I can't use my keyboard to scroll up/down.

M, Virt Mach. Mgr, under Edit, Pref, Graphics type:
if Spice is selected, I get no keyboard functions in the vm
if VNC is selected, keyboard strokes are fine.
You KVM experts, why is this ?while everyone likes spice I've never got it work fine for me. always used the vnc route.

Are you using Virt-Viewer or Virt-Manager?
If you are using Virt-Manager, create SSH password less login between the 2 machines and try again.
Also how many times does it prompt for root password when you first connect to the VM ?
And what OS are you using for Virt-Manager ?
And there is an option for key mapping in Virt-Manager, you can make it auto or en-US

The VM doesn't existyet. There is no keyboard available during the process of trying to install the operating system
And there is an option for key mapping in Virt-Manager, you can make it auto or en-US
I don't see any such option under Preferences, New VM

I mean password-less SSH login between the Virtt-Manager and the KVM host, but maybe you are using both on the same machine i guess, right ?
If that is the case this disregard passwordless SSH stuff
Here is the option:

Thx, I will take a look at "Display Spice".
