Corsair Vengeance K70
-
I recently picked up a Corsair Vengeance K70 Gaming Keyboard with Cherry MX Red keyswitches in it, in the black and red color combination. The switches feel as they should, all loose and soft. They Key caps are all a very slick, rubberized surface, with the extras for the WASD and 1-6 keys being a very hard plastic feeling, but with a lot of grip to them. The wrist wrest is a slick, dimpled soft touch one, and is very comfortable and not grippy even after hours of sweaty palmed gaming. The keycaps are solidly attached yet easy to remove, and the LED illumination is very bright and very flashy, a nice stylish touch. The key base is a nice anodized aluminum surface, and as the keys are raised with no border, cleaning crumbs or other unwanted debris from under the keys is as simple as tipping the keyboard sideways and blowing across the key base. Everything has a nice grease resistant coating, and overall it's a very comfortable keyboard to use, especially for typing and gaming. There's a switch to adjust the polling rate of the board, useful for old PC's with a bios not supporting of a 1000hz polling rate, and the cable includes a second USB as a passthrough, which is found on the back of the board. It has adjustable feet in all four corners, and nice rubber feet on the base, and is altogether a very slick, sophisticated, and very sturdy keyboard.
