It would have been nice to have both screen pin and app lock. One shouldnt have replaced the other IMO
I don't follow...
App lock does not allow you to open other apps
Screen Pinning does not allow you to change screensThey both should work IMO
-
Also it looks like Android 9 does support screen printing. It isnt available on MUI which is Xiaomi's OS.

aww, Are you sure screen pinning was removed from Android? that seemed to be an OS thing - this App locking is a third party app, doesn't even seem to be from Samsung from what I read in the article.

Apple Configurator would be what I would use, if you wanted to avoid all of that you could use single app mode as well. Not sure if it allows you to block access to specific websites though.
Only works on Mac - I have no Mac to use for this.

I dont think it was. It appears just to be missing from my device. Reading Google's support docs it looks like its still there.

Yeah that is really one of the crappy things about Apples tools. You could setup a crapintosh with generic hardware.

@Dashrender i use ITarian it’s free. There are other tools specific to Apple that can be free also that basically do the same thing.

Was free. It's not free anymore. Stopped being free a few weeks ago.

Wrong tool for the job.
Use commercial signage displays with built-in browsers and touch screens.
They are available from 10" and up. And you can properly mount them so someone doesn't put it in their bag.

That's an idea... though not sure it would fly. Many patients can't stand that long in front of a kiosk to fill our the data.

Well, I actually used one yesterday for the exact same purpose you are looking at. It was placed at a height that would work both standing and sitting and also with a wheelchair. But I've seen other applications where they would place a few at standing height and a few at sitting height.

uh, what? are you super short, like 5 ft 6 inches? I'm 5'10" and there is no single height that a tablet could be placed at that would be comfortable to use in all three positions.

Damn, that's not THAT short.

I know, but at 5'6" he might be able to comfortably use a single height tablet while standing or sitting.
-
No, I'm much taller than you. It wouldn't have worked with a small tablet but this was a 24" or 27" or something. It was on a pedestal so the display sits at a 45 degree angle.

Signage displays use vesa mounts so it's easy to find different mounting options. Could have something that could be angled.
I would also consider disinfection when something is used in healthcare.
