So the plan in the past two years was to gather all the mad people just to tell the new members that this is a sanatorium? Brilliant plan, I like it

The county sold off the last actual sanatorium property last year. Really, really, wish I could have grabbed it. Very large buildings, electric generation and steam on site.

There was a school for sale locally that was identical, it was sold right around when I was looking for a house... if it didn't need $500k new roof it would have been a steal. The people who bought it got it for just under $200k.

Yepp. We should start to charge you for our welcome greetings

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Introduce myself...oh boy. I'm just your average, asked to fix all of life's problems, in charge of almost nothing but responsible for everything, run of the mill IT Director for a large construction company in Southern NJ. I got inherited when they bought another company I worked for, and ran some of their asphalt plants, heavy equipment and maintained them for years. Got tired of a particular 'boss' who was a scumbag, and decided to move over to IT since I went to school for it and did it as side work. They had a consultant who was an utter nitwit and would spend more time documenting problems than fixing them, so getting him booted wasn't actually all that hard.
That was in the beginning of 2012, and it's been all downhill ever since. Now I manage a geographically-massive division with dozens of field offices, mfg plants, responsibilities of everything from our megawatts of solar fields to assisting with technical projects on literally every aspect of our business. We're a pretty technically friendly company, so I get to do a lot of cool stuff, and learn and see the latest and greatest every day.
