Re-hanging the bathroom door. I have to put new hangers on it because the previous owners kept putting larger and larger screws in the wood. The door was only hanging on by a single hinge this past week, and the holes the screws used to be in are no longer usable.
Owning a 100+ year old home is lots of work.

Went to the corn festival in Matagalpa over the weekend.

Aww shit, you were in my neck of the woods... But I was camping in N Ga, getting rained on. Started Saturday night and didn't stop. We were leaving Sunday anyway, but packing out in the rain blows. At least the tent finally gave up under the pressure, she was given a proper "rolled up hastily and thrown in a dumpster" funeral.

It's a beach weekend for me. It is a huge holiday week here so we are preparing for that. And tomorrow is a BBQ at some friends' house on the beach with the kids.

I honestly need an exceptionally long nap so prepare for a busy few weeks including SPICEWORLD...
My Steelers play Sunday too so I'm "ready for some football"...
-
@gjacobse will appreciate this; its a ham weekend for me! Local hamfest (amateur radio swap meet for those who don't know, not the celebration of the meat) tomorrow morning followed by some radio workin's out at our property. May get the permanent loop antenna up there too not sure yet.

Nice, that was my last weekend (video goes live tomorrow.) It was fun.

Patching for the small number of Windows servers I have to touch.
-
Off to soccer with the twins, then errands before doing things around the house.
Might get encouraged to do some system experiments.

All-hands-on-deck maintenance from Saturday night to early Sunday morning :(. At least it helps pass the time as I await interview results on Monday :).

Yesterday it was 60-70 and rainy - which we needed with the brush / forest fires..
Today - 33 and sleet, rain, flurries..
Troubleshoot the radio - I've isolated the issue I think,.. just not sure what to call it (other than a pain). Friends Birthday gathering later, and Son has a school dance tonight. Else - as little as I can get away with while getting things ready for another Monday.
-
Just got back from the datacenter, had to add on 2 more PDUs for the new pair of 30 amp circuits. And I'll be back in the morning to start balancing out the power load.

Yes. Commute is unsustainable. Thus, Iโve been on the hunt for a similar gig thatโs remote.

I'm about to go start swapping long network cables for short ones. Obviously I should do it since I was the one who provided the correct lengths and quantities to buy before we started the project.
