Or anywhere near Toronto.
what's wrong with Toronto? i really liked my visit there 10 years ago.
If you enjoy big cities I suppose it would be ok. It has amazing art, history, and all sorts of other things.
I found it very claustrophobic - just concrete everywhere. No trees. No real sky you'd want to look at. Humans everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Never any privacy or real way to be alone.
-
That's so funny - you say no trees.
I just remember I thought I was driving into Kashyyyk - from the interstate driving into Toronto, we were on a hill top driving down into the city and it looked like nothing but trees, with a few building poking out here and there.
And the windmills everywhere - it looked awesome! but then I was only there for 2 days before moving onto the shithole that was Montreal.

What don't you like about Montreal? It's my favourite North American city outside of Mexico. Great history, culture, waterfront, food, people are super friendly (if you don't mistakenly forget to let them know that you aren't from Ontario) and it is just so beautiful.
-
Well like any major metro it has a bad side too. When I visited I was looking for cheap accommodations and as such landed in a bad part of town... Dirty sketchy...
Plus the people, watresses were rude because we didn't speak French.
I thought Toronto was a much more beautiful city, many more trees, etc.

Did you let them know that you were American like I mentioned above? I've never been treated rudely in any way anywhere in Quebec for being an Anglophone. But I am always as long as they think that I am from Ontario and am just being rude and not speaking French. You have to make sure that they know where you are from, then they love you.

That's not really an issue with Montreal so much

I live in the area, so I just put in my PTO form!
I'm driving from NJ

That might be a bit of a drive, but it'll be great to see you there.
Out of curiosity will everyone who's on ML be required to have a badge with their ML name on it?

I used to commute it when I kept the house in Geneseo but took a job in Warren, NJ. Did that for six months once a week. Not all that bad.

Probably. It helps a lot.
-
Or even better we can play a game of Guess Who and just have our Icons on the badge!
