Thanks to all those who participated in this survey. Your help was much appreciated and gave me a great deal of good data to analyse for my paper.
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back here to post my results, but here they are.
Thanks again.

RE: If you are new drop in say hello and introduce yourself please!
@DustinB3403 @scottalanmiller Thanks for the welcome
I live in the UK, in London with my wife and 2 kids. I'm a big rugby fan and like to get out to watch it live as often as possible--which is not very often these days.
I am currently studying for a masters and I'm in the process of working on my dissertation.
I put up a posting in the IT Discussion area as I'm looking for IT Pro's to fill in a survey for me as I need to collect research data.
If you have have a free moment please have a look--it is under the subject:Writing Dissertation on Competition in IT--need IT Pro's to fill in short survey (6 min)--PLEASE help if you can

RESULTS now Posted-----Writing Dissertation on Competition in IT--need IT Pro's to fill in short survey (6 min)--PLEASE help if you can
I'm writing my dissertation for my masters degree on competition in the IT industry. A requirement of this is to produce some primary data and then analyse it. I have created a short survey about the criteria IT Pro's use to make decisions on the technology they choose/ buy.
If you can take a few minutes (should take about 6 min--this is the avg time spent so far) to fill it in, I would really appreciate the help.
There are 32 statements and you rank your level of agreement. Then there is a box to add any additional comments.Many thanks.

@Breffni-Potter
there were 34 participants (not all from this site--I think it was close to half from this site)
no location data as the survey was anonymous
