You should be fine. The system will just run the single fan faster (more noise).
Thanks Travis.. I was thinking of just picking up the H100i v2 from Best Buy this morning. But then according to Corsair website, the 100iv2 is thicker, so I don't think it will work on top, but I could install the H100iv2 radiator on the bottom of the case I think. I just gotta figure out air flow.. I don't build PC much anymore, so not good at this stuff.. and when i did, they was all cheap ones.
Should I install the fans fans on the bottom or top of the rad? Right now its on the bottom of the rad, which the rad screwed into the top of the case..

RE: Video Editing Build Suggestions
So far going ok in the build... So I thought.. I had him install the radiator (h115i). But the fans from the radiator interfere with the CPU power connector on the MB (Thanks Asus for putting it so high/on the edge of the board). I was wondering if their are any slim fans I can get to replace the stock fans? Also is it possible to temp run the rad with only 1 fan?
I kept the same build as above, but changed the GFX to an Asus 1070 one (for the lighting effects )Any other suggestions.. Right now build it is at a stand still.. I cant put the rad in the front as its 280mm.. Front only supports 240mm

It's been a long time since I've built a video editing rig. But for those, I'll usually use an AMD Radeon card for the video editing, or an NVIDIA card for gaming.
So far from what I am seeing, it might be cheaper, if I can find it.
looking at this.
ROG-STRIX-RX580-O8G-GAMING Altho its out of stock everywhere. -

Why 2 different displays?
I assume because he did not want to pay for 2 4K displays.
Exactly. I would love it, but already over budget.

That's what I remember.. I'll have to check cost.. I am already over budget.. So trying to cut it a little, so can't afford anything anymore expensive.

Video Editing Build Suggestions
I am going to a video editing machine for my brother, and am leaning towards the AMD Ryzen 1700x CPU. Any objections to that?
Here is the build config. Was hoping for a cheaper mobo, but its seems to be rated good. Is there a better board for video editing vs gaming? I would like to bring down the price, but don't want to effect the performance. So the only think I was thinking is lower MB. Any changes you think I should make.
Case: Cooler Master Stryker
MB: ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero
CPU: AMD Ryzen 1700X
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600)
PSU: EVGA G2 850W
GFX: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW2
CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i
HDD1: Samsung Evo 960 500GB M.2
HDD2: WL 3TB Mechanical Drive
Elgato HD60P Capture (for PS4 capture)

Amazon Business
I keep getting emails to sign up for Amazon Business since I buy alot of tech stuff online for friends, and work. I was wondering if anyone here has it, and what the approx price breaks would be if I sign up. Some things I am looking at getting in the next month or are for a video editing rig for my brother.
Anyone can give me what the business price would be, or is their different pricing levels?
And no, generally New Egg and all those other sites are not cheaper. They charge shipping to Hawaii.
ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero @ 224.99
Intel i7-7700k @ 339.99
EVGA 1070 FTW2 @ 455.99
Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB @ 289.99

asking for a little help for a friend and his family
I wouldn't normally ask, but the boy in this article is a friend of my hanai (informally adopted/real close friend) brother, whom I also know.
He is 16, and his mother was killed the other week. They are trying to raise money to send her body back to the Philippines. He is going to have a long road ahead of him. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Standard HD on a screen that large, personally I would hate it during non gaming things.
He only uses it for gaming and very little internet (usually just uses his phone). So might not be a huge issue.. Would the Samsung be ok for gaming? Or better to get the faster refresh rate/resolution on the ASUS. It would be for Overwatch/WoW/CoD, so not sure if response time in the screen is that big of an issue.
Thanks so much guys, Appreciate your help..

RE: Gaming rig for friend
Well, this is what I got so far.. A little over his budget... lol.. Just playing with setup for now..
I will probably switch the MB to the model under the titanium.. $70 cheaper. and then switch the gfx to a non liquid cooled one. figure out where else I can cut.. Prob will have to cut the screens down, not sure how much of a difference getting the samsung screens vs these ASUS ones will be.

RE: Gaming rig for friend
Thanks guys... The site @DustinB3403 looks good.. I thought NewEgg was free shipping for Continental US, guess not anymore.. And return policy, thats why I want to get things sold and ship from Amazon. Never had issues with Amazon returns.
Ill keep the SSD as the 850 Pro, as I had great luck with my 840 Pro .
I rather spend the money from the MB on going 32GB ram for him... and trying to get screens with 1ms response vs 5..

RE: Gaming rig for friend
Thanks @DustinB3403 Ill take a look.. I am buying from Amazon cuz free shipping. Prefer to get from all one place. And NewEgg does not ship free to me

RE: Gaming rig for friend
Hey Guys, Hope you had a good weekend.. Here is what I have so far.. Trying to figure out on some of the parts if I can use a lower model. He doesn't care about looks, as it's not for showing off. And his price includes monitor, KB, Mouse, Speakers.... Appreciate your guys help. Sorry I am so dumb at this stuff.. haha... I don't build much anymore, and I don't game, so I don't know what's good.
MSI Z170A - Not sure if he really needs this high end of one.. I would like to get something a little cheaper.
i7-6700K - Proc Only (getting water cooling unit)
Kingston HyperX FURY - Got 16, might go 32
Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD OR Samsung Evo 500GB - is it really worth the $60 difference?
Corsair Hydro H100iv2 240mm water cooler - Hope this is the right one.. It looks like it to me.
EVGA 500W OR Corsair AX AX760 760W - Can I get by with 500W or is there a good one anyone can recommend? $150 is kind of steep. He may add another GFX card later, but only 1 for now.. I have no clue how multiple cards would work together anyway.. Never researched it or used it.
Cooler Master Trooper Case OR NZXT H440 Case - I like the Cooler Master, but for the $50 difference, I think the NZXT case will be fine.
Asus VS228H 21.5 OR Samsung S245E310HL 23.6" -- I would prefer the Samsung personally. He will be getting 2, for dual screen.
Mackie Monitors - he likes these, I don't know the difference between monitor and seaker

Gaming rig for friend
OK, so my friend has asked me to build a gaming rig for him.. Budget is about $2,000.. Any thoughts on specs/parts to use? All I know he wants water cooling, nice case, and to play WOW and OverWatch. I don't really game, so I have no clue.. And I haven't built a machine from the ground up in a while.

RE: Dividing in MS Access
drew - it seems to work to a point, it just divides it twice, ex 10/10/10=.1, it should only do it once, ex 10/10=1 (or multiplies it twice if I change it to multiply). Other calculations are done fine in the program, but i cant figure out why I can't get this one to work. I'm trying to follow other setups, altho none are division (that I remember), they are multiplication.
There is alot of linked tables to another Access db, as well as where it pulls the data via odbc (Program as 120+ tables, quires, macros, modules).. The divisor is in the linked access db, plus it has to only do it to the certain accounts and items. We are looking at getting a real program to do this, but for now we are stuck with this.
I will try do what the video you linked has, but we use no forms for this.. All it does, is grab data and put it in a special format mandated by MSA (

Dividing in MS Access
Hey guys, Need some help
I am not good with MS Access, and this was an already built program by former IT guy. I am trying to modify it and make it divide 2 numbers if it meets a certain criteria, as certain customers are invoiced as the Secondary UOM vs Primary UOM.. It does divide, but it seems to be dividing twice. This is what I got as the query. This is a more complicated program, that grabs data from our ERP system, and in the ends creates a file that is them sent to MSA, for our Cig/Tobacco sales for our Distribution side of the company. Is this the correct code/syntax thing to use for division?
Does anyone else here deal with MSA for Hersheys, Grocery, Cig/Tob reporting? If so, what do you use to do the reporting?
Thanks for any help, and sorry I it's really hard to explain this program/report.
